A community physician by training, my current work focuses on conducting and building capacity for operational research in low and middle income countries. I am involved as a senior mentor in the Structured Operational Research Training IniTiative (SORT IT). My research interests are multidrug-resistant tuberculosis; active case finding for TB; Tuberculosis-Diabetes and primary health care. I am also affiliated with Karuna Trust, Bengaluru, India as Honorary Advisor – Community Health and Operational Research
